Whether you are on a strict pre-winter-holiday diet like me or you are prone to go on an unleashed dessert-swallowing spree more than often convinced as you are that gluttony is no sin, you have to admit that an attractive display is 90 percent responsible for our brains to start sending green light signals to our less rational stomach. Take the case of this impeccable chocolate stand display so well kept by this young employee at renown Barcelonian market, La Boqueria.

ReplyDeleteMy waist is sooo glad this is a 2200 km's drive from Rotterdam.
My mind is thinking bout the cheap air connections we have nowadays though.

Good night, I could gain five pounds just walking through that place! Such displays should be illegal! Hah!
ReplyDeleteHi Carlos
ReplyDeleteThank you for another photograph showing a snapshot of Barcelona life.
I bought chocolates from this stall last June when I was there.
The lady was absolutely lovely and very friendly.
I bought some chocolates that looked exactly like green and black olives. They were so realistic that they had a 'stone' in the middle which was made out of praline.
They looked so incredible that I bought them as gifts for all of my friends and presented them in a little catalan ceramic dish.
Thanks for bringing back very happy memories.
Best wishes Carlos
Gary
And if your pre-holiday diet is consuming vast amounts of delectable chocolates?
