Lonely, Gran Via de les Corts, Barcelona [enlarge]

I don't have much to say on this one, to be honest with you. As with many photographs you can always interpret and think of a story of your own according to your experiences, your creativeness and imagination. The way I see it, maybe we are talking about loneliness here although I prefer to look at it as yet another street photograph, a glimpse of Barcelona just as witness and not as judge.

This was my first stop in Barcelona. I learned how to teach English as a second language at the Windsor Institute, which closed last year.

I also used to stop by the University.

Yes, Carlos, there is a certain degree of despair....'midst a beautiful city scene.
I love your work and sensibility.

As always, great shot.

But I don't think he is lonely. I think he is deep in thought, reflective, talking to the divine - or some combination.

But the beauty of the photo, as with most great art - is that it only matters what the viewer sees.

Oh yes, one can certainly feel lonely, even in a big city. Time and again find people like "him" over here in Athens.
Maybe they are all indeed thinking deep about something, that i just haven't discovered yet.
A wonderful picture. Please have a nice Wednesday.
