Coqueta The Giraffe, A Curious Sculpture at Rambla Catalunya

They say sequels are never better than the original movie. This is the second time that Coqueta, the Giraffe stars in Barcelona Photoblog and I am almost sure this time you'll appreciate its beauty much better. Lots of images in this blog during the first year were taken with a lousy camera and besides there was the well known blogger picture size restriction problem. I did my best then but my gear evolved and so did my photographs. I just hope in the future I am able to give bad reviews about my past work, that would mean everything is getting better. As Socrates said, "true wisdom lies in recognizing one’s own ignorance". Mime at Tibidabo Amusement Park

Mayday, Mayday! Stop sending tourists up here! - might as well say this funny artist during his short performance at Tibidabo Amusement Park. Of course he didn't say that since he was a mime. 

Tibidabo is always full of visitors on weekends and during summer holidays it is packed with locals and tourists alike as the rest of Barcelona is. 

He was there jumping, dancing, stretching on the floor and tiptoeing after people to dust them or make them look towards an imaginary plane in the skies. 

I am not an expert on costumes so I can only guess that he was disguised in an American army's pilot uniform.

Dangerous Wild Fauna in La Barceloneta Balcony

Yes, it is a very messy picture from the point of view of photography so please refrain from judging it. Almost on the street level (you can reach it with your hands) there is this balcony right in front of La Barceloneta beach in Barcelona. Three different toy animals drying in the sun. At least that's what I thought since one of them, the Tazmanian Devil aka TAZ is held to the clothes line with pegs. On a second look, after checking the plants, the butane gas-cylinders and assorted trash you might think it is the closet as seen from a different perspective. Sometimes you don't know where to stack all those presents you "win" at the shooting gallery.

I rarely take pictures of another picture or sign, cause I think that if it is done is done, is not my work but someone else's but I found this funny and colorful, and worth showing.

I just can't figure out who the artist was but his/her drawings are common in school books and TV cartoons in Barcelona. If anyone knows please drop me a line.
