Palau de la Mercè with the MNAC (National Art Museum of Catalonia), is the perfect place to enjoy a panoramic view of Plaza España (red or green subway lines) and the rest of the city. If you take the escalators at the end of the walk from the square to the palace you will meet several statues of classical style which look great against the sky.

Great shot! The sky and the statue complement each other just right. Good of you to shoot from the back, might not be as dramatic if its a frontal shot.

Top of the hill? In the top of the hill there is the castell de Montjuïc, but the view from MNAC is nice

midnitebara >Of course, and the light was better from behind
anna > Thanks I appreciate it
fotoaddict > Yes it got through. These pop up windows are crazy.
ronals >Hello Ronals welcome. I guess you are right. After you take the escalators apparently you reach the top of the hill, but the real one is where the castle of Montjuic is which I also recommend for more great views. I see that you have a nice picture of Montjuic in 1929.
bob >Oh yes you are right Bob. It's dull today after a few days of good weather
marjorie >It could be. Thanks Marjorie
jenny >Thanks for appreciating colors

Love the dramatic feeling of this statue. Do you know the story behind it?

VERY NICE - ideal composition, great lighting, very dramatic shot! Statues are typically boring to look at on a photograph but this one is great! Congrats!
