La Pedrera: A Barcelona Landmark

Front View of Casa Mila or La Pedrera by Gaudi

Going for a walk down the city center I captured these tourists desperately taking pictures of La Pedrera, one of the most outstanding landmarks of Barcelona on Paseo de Gracia street.

The sightseeing bus wouldn't stop so there was not much time to take a good snapshot of the modernist building at sunset.

I took another photograph, this time with a modernist lamp post in the way.

  2. This was one of my most favourite places in Barcelona. I sat on the rooftop with a very good friend for about 3 hours. The slightest of zephyr-like breezes blew, and we solved all the ills of the world in the late afternoon May sun....(PS The could have got off the bus about 5 metres further on!)

  5. How good would it be to live there? If there's one thing Melbourne doesn't have, it's this 'gaudi' inspired architecture.. wonderful. OH and how come everyone else has been there and not me? Can you fly me out Carlos? lol.
