Door Knocker, Gothic Quarter, Barcelona

Door Knocker, Gothic Quarter, Barcelona [enlarge]

An old door knocker nailed into a much modern door. There are many like these in the Gothic quarter. Most often, the knocker has just come out of the foundry but I think this one has been around for some time now. As to the link to the pictures I made during my holidays, here are some of them although I have not finished uploading all the stuff: Cuba, Year 50 AC

  1. The old knocker looks pretty good, even though it's married to a much younger door.
Went to take a peek at the Cuba pics, can't wait to see more!

-L- I normally don't accept comments with links other than blogs. But I checked your work and it seemed fair enough to let it through. Thanks for your visit.

    - LOL Jacob
    - No idea Amy.
    - Julie. Definitely, the door is old too but just the wood plank. There were no ornaments as it is common in doors carrying such door knockers.
