Red pepper, Capsicum, chili pepper or paprika. What's in a name? If you visit Spain you are bound to see this image often. Not much in Barcelona city but in neighbouring towns. They are left there hanging under the sun to dry up. They are wonderful for cooking and for decoration in what is known as pepper ristras or pepper hangings. Since I am on a diet I can't stop talking about food.

ReplyDeleteIn the words of Paris Hilton: "that's hot". I know... I could not resists. ;)
ReplyDeleteAh, yes, diets are hard and food does become fascinating at such times! I love the look of dried peppers!
ReplyDeleteUna foto realmente espectacular!
ReplyDeleteHot, hot, hot! I love this photo.
ReplyDeleteWhen I first stopped eating stuff made with white sugar, I had horrible cravings. . . And, I notice that when I'm trying *not* to eat something, I crave it more and more. . . .Peppers are pretty popular as decorations in the US, especially out west. . .Ristras and wreaths made with them are common out there.
ReplyDeleteIt would be nice if you mentioned what type of red peppers those are.
ReplyDeleteWell they are red peppers as far as I know. If I can find the exact taxonomy of this specimen I will tell you. Although this is not exactly the purpose of my blog. There are a lot of fields I obviously can't encompass. Please feel free to help.
