Barcelona Coastline

Barcelona View [enlarge]

Not the first time I show the view from Montjuic but I hope in the larger image, which you can see upon clicking on this smaller version, the result pleases you. I still haven't found the right time of the day nor the proper lens to make it look sharper and attractive. I tried to keep the right colors and contrast. Maybe not too realistic a result, but the skies and clouds have this sort of Japanese cartoon happy mood that finally made me repeat this post.

Try just before sunset. Bring your tripod.

This is an excellent shot, though! You don't need to sharpen it anymore. Postcard pretty!

That is an impressive harbor and cityscape!

Your "Japanese cartoon happy mood" description made me smile. And with that bright cyan sky and ocean, it's so true!

-Thanks to the Amy s :) Very kind of you.
-Thanks Deborah. You surely would like the city. At least there is a great view from there. And the parks and gardens in the vicinity are wonderful
-Jacob, thanks for the suggestion. I am sure the right thing to do. But I always go with the family on weekends and don't carry a tripod. During the weekend I am too busy to climb over there. Maybe someday.
-Thanks Hilda for commenting on the cartoon mood. Everyone who likes those knows what I mean about beautiful skies. It is a special color. I love Miyazaki's movies.

Looks awsome, the water-blue merging into the sky-blue.. Nice shot!

I particularly like the clouds on the blue background. Perhaps it would be interesting when you go back there to turn around and post some photos of the cementery. I was impressed when I first saw it, graves in walls facing the beautiful sea.

-Thanks Babooshka.
-You are welcome Julie. Glad to hear that.
-I like that part too. Thanks for the observation.
-That's a wonderful idea Madalin. The cemetery is so obvious to us locals that sometimes we overlook the fact it looks weird, like pigeonholes buried in the hills. Thanks!
